All questions must be in good taste.
Q. People keep parking in front of my garage at my apartment
complex.
This means I can't get my car out. What can I do to stop this?
A. Talk to the manager about the complex's towing policy.
If you can tow those cars, do it!
Then post a sign on your garage
warning that all cars parked there will be towed.
Q. My boss likes to stop by without warning and hover
over my desk.
This makes me very uncomfortable. What can I do?
A. Make sure you have work at your desk
that you can prominently display for your boss's benefit.
When he comes by, stop everything you're doing and talk pleasantly to him.
If he still hovers, and wants to hover while you're working,
tell him that you'll have the assignment to him in a few minutes.
If he doesn't get the hint, you can say you have some phone calls to make.
(Be sure you actually do have phone calls, and that they are business related.)
Then start dialing. If that doesn't work, ask for a meeting. Most bosses
love meetings.
If all these tactics don't work, you could try posting
a sign saying "THERE IS A $5 FINE FOR PARKING HERE"!
Q. I can't seem to keep my pet's breath
from stinking like something crawled in its mouth
and died. Is there anything that can help?
A. Feed your pet biscuits designed to reduce tartar.
Talk to your vet and see if he has any suggestions.
